Who said adverts had to be boring? Not us! On the contrary, with a market becoming more and more saturated with all types of advertising, it’s best to be a little clever to make you stand out from this very tightly-packed crowd. Here’s some of our favourite global examples.
This is a great example by Hydro, of using one very simple concept to communicate one idea. In this case, not a lot of copy is needed, which simply reads “We are looking for engineers who like to think big.”
The two above little adverts may not be the most inspiring from a visual perspective, but they don’t really need to be! These perfectly appeal to the type of people they’re targeting, and don’t need to rely on fancy graphics to get the point across.
Adverts don’t need to printed in a magazine, or even shown on the telly. Often, there’s other formats out there that will more directly reach your target market, as shown in the example above. How perfect (and relevant!) is this application?

A brilliant ad for a company who somewhat rely on an immigrant workforce.
The body copy reads “Nor Swedes, South Koreans or Norwegians. We hire individuals. We don’t care what you surname is. Because ambition and determination have nothing to do with your nationality. McDonalds is one of the most integrated companies in Sweden, with many as 95 nationalities working for us. Join us at mcdonalds.se”
